COERR Aranyaprathet have been implementing the Child Sponsorship Program in Sakaew Province since 2005, focusing on the most vulnerable, especially children of the landmine handicapped and the poorest families.

   In February 2020, the number of the poorest and needy students COERR continued to support was 140. This included 131 students up to high school level, and 9 students in college level. Among them, 114 studenst were living in Sakaew Province and 26 were living in Surin Province.

   The purpose of this sponsorship program is to support the poorest students in the border villages, to reduce their family’s financial burden on education expenses, especially the family with many children. It is also aimed at seeing children to go to school, pay attention to class, help parents at home and participate in the school activities with friends, acquire leadership skill and know what they will become in the future.
